So I tried to do my first giveaway and sale.
While I appreciate the 10 people that stopped by my blog, I am so confused and heartbroken that more people did not stop by.
When other people have giveaways and sales, they get 75, 90, 200, or more people leaving comments. What am I doing wrong?
Always wanting to learn from experiences, I am open to advice.
Does my blog even come up in your 'reader'?
Are my K-2 journal packs understandable? Perhaps I should group them one grade level at a time? I put the packs together for K-2 so teachers have a range of resources for differentiating.
Many thanks to your insight on my [failed] giveaway.
If you did stop by my blog for the giveaway, I will post the winner in my next {cheerful} post.

I felt the same way about my first giveaway - I didn't have a big response and got really discouraged, try getting in on some of the great summer linky parties so others can find your blog, all it took for me was to get one blogger to send their friends my way. It may have also been that it was on the 4th, I am following you but didn't see the giveaway because I wasn't on much yesterday. Good luck in the future!

Oh sweet friend, never think of anything you do as a failure. I read through your whole blog the other day and you are inspirational and BRAVE to do all the moving you have done and to see the world! You are an amazing woman. It just takes time to build up a follower base. I spend a little time each day searching for new blogs by reading through posts from other blogs I follower. It's fun to find new blogs and it builds up your followers too. Good luck with blogging and keep it up! You are fabulous!

Don't fret, my pet! I had a slow turnout for my first giveaway and second giveaway at that! You can't base your readers or their appreciation for what you do on one giveaway. And, I have to agree with Miss Amy... a lot of people were out and about due to the holiday. Maybe leave your giveaway open for a week next time? So people have time to share and check you out? :) {{hugs}} Chin up, buttercup! You're awesome!

Don't feel defeated! You're doing great things with your blog.
I do think you should package your stuff into 1 grade level at a time since most teachers only teach 1 grade level. Maybe your next giveaway is for "the grade level of your choosing."
I always see your things on Pinterest and am so proud of all of your Followers! Keep it up KP!
Don't be sad. Your journals look awesome. I think it was just bad timing. A lot of people were busy with fourth of July festivities on the third and the fourth. I really appreciate that your giveaway was very straight forward and simple.

Hi Kelli:
You're on my blog roll--that's how I got here.
: )
My first give away was a bust and it was Starbucks!
I love this blog--and I always enjoy reading what you write.
I think there are some good suggestions above... but I still think you should be proud of what you have done (in real life) and all that you have shared on your blog.
Sending you a cyberhug...

I love following your blog. I'm not great at participating in giveaways though. That doesn't mean I don't love reading about what you're thinking and doing. Sorry this didn't turn out exactly like you'd hoped.

Don't feel defeated..you're doing a fantastic job with your blog. Lots of teachers on a school hiatus..so maybe that's the reason for the lack of participation? But it doesn't matter..know in your heart that your blog is being read...and you're doing a great service by reaching out to help other teachers. Keep up the great job!

Don't put yourself down! I have been blogging for what seems like, forever, and I don't have a big follower base (even after giveaways). I even have one going on right now in partnership with a big company and still...not as big a bite as I would like. Your blog is being read, at least by me, and I can see the others who have posted. Each blog and blogger have their role here in blogland, you just have to find yours and it will all fall into place.

Sorry to hear about your giveaway! I just stumbled across your blog because I saw the word teacher and I knew I just had to visit a fellow teacher blogger!
Hope you don't mind me following you along on your adventures! :)
I'm sorry that you fee defeated. Try not to let it get you down. I somehow missed your giveaway. I love your blog and reading about your adventures. Hand in there.

I agree with many people that with the 4th of July, I don't think many people paid much attention to their blog readers. I love your blog, love your journals, I didn't enter your giveaway because I teach fourth grade, and wanted to give a reader that could use the resource in their classroom a chance to win. It's my general rule to only enter giveaways for items I could use in my classroom, so others who could use it have a better chance at winning!

I agree with everyone who said "bad timing." I know that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win a set of your journals! I'm huge into journaling and I teach 2nd grade. Is it too late to enter?
Thank you SO much everyone for your support and kindness!!! You are all too sweet!!
I have some friends visiting from Australia, so I will be back in a couple days to respond individually to all of you!

I am sorry you feel defeated. My first giveaway bombed too! I love your journals but was out of town the day you posted! Maybe next time!

Never feel bad about not a great turn out for a giveaway.
These last few weeks I feel like many blogs are doing give-aways. I personally read all the give-away posts and all posts by every blogger I follow, but very rarely even enter a give-away. Why? I'm not 100% sure, but sometimes I get so caught up in just getting caught up in reading blogs I don't want to stop.
Hi friend,
I've loved following your blog and seeing photos of the land of my birth/study abroad experience.
I'm busy getting ready for 2nd grade. So excited! I'll be next door to Amanda (Brittany's old room).
I'll be purchasing TPT stuff when I get back in town. We're leaving this morning for Flagstaff and then Cedar City. It's too hot here!
Happy summer!

I love your blog and your journals! I didn't see your giveaway otherwise I would have entered!! My first giveaway didn't have a big turn out either...maybe have a longer window to enter next time (a week or so). Also, I like that your journals span a range of grades so I can differentiate for my students.

Hiya Cindy!! Second grade--that's great!! I'm going to email you this week : )
Thanks for the sweet comments everyone!

Hi Kelli,
Just found your blog through Susie Q's and so glad I have! I am a bit of a traveling teacher, too, and have plans to continue for a few years, so you're an inspiration to me. I definitely felt the same way about my first {and only} giveaway. And the product I gave away is my best seller! Maybe next time we can get together for a combined giveaway. Love what I'm seeing here and looking forward to following.
Happy summer!
